Páramo Directional Clothing Systems is launching a full range of men’s and ladies’ Summer & Travel garments in April 2012 which offer excellent sun and insect protection, ultra-cooling performance and are both lightweight and easy care. They are engineered for easy and full movement, so are practical summer and warm weather wear for a huge range of activities. Pocketing is carefully thought out so as not to interfere with movement or the fit of the garment, while allowing storage of key holiday essentials. Special attention has been given to styling and to practical travel colour options.

New Ladies' Fast & Light waterproofs
Páramo Directional Clothing Systems is launching two new ‘fast & light’ garments for women this Spring: Páramo’s lightest ever Analogy Jacket, the Mirada, with very female-friendly styling, and the very versatile waterproof Quito Trousers, now with a specific female fit, which are extremely practical to put on because of their innovative zip on and off deisgn. This greatly extends Páramo’s range for females who want to make every ounce count, whether walking, cycling, trekking, or involved in outdoor events. Both garments combine the perspiration removal of Analogy with fantastic venting and very intelligent features.

New Halcon load-carrying Waistcoat
Páramo Directional Clothing Systems is launching a new pocketed gilet – the Halcon Waistcoat – which is ideal for all outdoor activities and for travel. With 12 pockets and 2 further ‘compartments’, the Halcon Waistcoat gives plentiful space to organise and transport a range of equipment and keep it easily accessible, while the design ensures that the weight of equipment carried is well distributed to avoid any discomfort. New Páramo Grid baselayers – superb temperature control!
Páramo Directional Clothing Systems have four new ‘Grid’ baselayer designs – two for men and two for women – entering the range early in 2012. Using the completely new ‘fast response’ Parameta G fabric, these high performance baselayers offer excellent temperature control for the wearer in the widest range of conditions. Worn uncovered, the new Grid moves moisture while allowing air to cool the wearer, while worn under a windproof or waterproof it immediately warms the wearer. The result is a very versatile baselayer which performs well and, because of its stretch, feels comfortable for virtually all outdoor activities. SPRING/ SUMMER 2012 LAUNCHES AT A GLANCE
Páramo Directional Clothing Systems have a cavalcade of new launches planned across the activity categories for April 2012 – from our first lightweight ladies’ jacket with very female-friendly styling to new travel shirts and trousers, a new baselayer fabric in technical and classic styles and the Halcon waistcoat for wildlife watchers, travellers and fieldworkers. The array of styles coming into the range is the biggest haul for many seasons from Páramo who, to achieve this, have invested heavily in development and testing of new fabrics, in research and prototyping of new styles, and in highlighting and getting feedback from consumers on new colours and patterns. The resulting additions to the range will appeal to existing Páramo users and open up the brand to new outdoor enthusiasts and professionals.

ANDY ROUSE & PÁRAMO SET TO SUPPORT BRITISH WILDLIFE
The Aspira Fund, launched in 2006 by international wildlife photographer, Andy Rouse and Páramo Directional Clothing Systems, has named the three beneficiaries from this year’s donations:
- Black Grouse through The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust - The Glaslyn Ospreys through RSPB Cymru - Little Owls through Emily Joachim’s work as a PhD student at Reading University.
All three projects are working to research and improve the survival of bird species in wild environments within the UK that are under threat. |

Páramo Directional Clothing Systems have worked with Mountain Rescue Teams and outdoor professionals to develop a specialised ‘Mountain Pro’ garment range. This high spec line-up for men and women offers additional benefits for professional users, who place heavy demands on their chosen outdoor clothing. It also enables them to achieve continuity in garment colours and styles over time without having to make a heavy investment in kit. Garments can be ordered in small quantities or even as one-offs for new team members with no price penalty and with confidence that the same garment specification will be supplied.
