Exmoor Search and Rescue Team
The Exmoor Search and Rescue Team provides a Search and Rescue service across Somerset and North Devon. We assist both Avon & Somerset Police and Devon & Cornwall Policein locating lost or missing persons and work with South WesternAmbulance recovering the injured or ill from remote locations. We are made up entirely of highly skilled volunteer members who are on call 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Our operational area covers the region enclosed by a line extending east from the Cornish border in the west via Hatherleigh, Crediton, Tiverton and north on to Taunton and Bridgwater, including Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills. We are a charitable organisation and receive no government funding.

Search and Rescue Dog Association (Lake Disctrict)
The Search and Rescue Dog Association of the Lake District is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the training and use of mountain rescue search dogs to assist in the search for and rescue of missing persons, predominantly in a mountainous environment, but also in other areas where our skills may be of benefit. On average our 10 dog teams respond to over 60 callouts per year as well as being members of their own respective mountain rescue teams. As a dog handler, clothing is an essential part of our equipment and Paramo plays a key role in protecting us from the elements! |
